Bow's Year in Review

Everyone else has a "year in review" film, so I decided to make one for Bow as well. In this video we see the highlights of Bow's day to day life from 2016.

I have also compiled my own "year in reviews" video, showing all the reviews that I have gotten on my books in 2016. If you want to do well, you must get many more reviews than you have books to your credit.

My new year's resolution is to spend less time writing and publishing and more time creating publicity for those works that have already been written and published. If Bow is going to live on residual income after my passing, we need to start making sure that the works are well known.

What can you do to help? Besides buying books, review the ones you have bought and vote up the positive reviews that are already posted. It does not cost anything to log into Amazon and vote up a review, but it could make a world of difference to a reviewer's ranking and ultimately to the ranking of our books on Amazon.

Have a great new year, and Bow and I will see you in 2017!

  1. This is slightly off topic, but I want to reiterate what I said before about those who make us feel guilty. They use the guise of social movement to guilt trip others about making money, but they are using publicity to make money. I know all groups have some conflict, but the only group that does not completely turn me off at this point is the Libertarians. We are being lead to believe that making money is evil, but the people saying that are not going back to nature and living in a cave. I would like a book like yours to have more reviews than something like Fifty Shades of Grey. I just feel I lack some social equivalency. I know what I like, but this is disconcerting when I share this with others. For instance, if you are not a Star Wars fan and do not get engrossed in those characters, then apparently you lack some sense of American culture. I did not know being well versed in American culture came down to knowing about Carrie Fisher's character. If you admit that you find this boring, people will look at you funny. But I cannot help it, I have always liked what is more obscure. I like characters like Mariah who takes a leap of faith and goes to teach in China. I find her far more redeaming than something about a Star Wars character. Unfortunately, it seems we have to tap into a popular fan base to get more reviews.

    1. Hi, Julia. Thanks for your words of encouragement. I think there are lots of people who are not Star Wars fans. Even Austin Petersen prefers Star Trek to Star Wars. I am definitely with you on supporting the Libertarian cause and our right to make money with our head held high. Thanks also for all your support this year. It means a lot to me! Here's to a prosperous, happy and healthy new year!

  2. Happy New Year, Aya! I loved the "Auld Lang Syne" music you added to Bow's video. Surprised how grey his whiskers are already! Wow, what a year, huh? And he does seem to love those poppy seed muffins (I think that's what those are right?). Sorry, I've been a little absent recently - some trip planning going on.
I do hope you, Bow and Sword have a happy, prosperous new year - can't wait to see what changes are in store for you and me this year!

    1. Happy New Year, Kathy! Bow's grey whiskers are a design feature, not a sign of old age, but time is beginning to tell on me. I hope to hear all about your trip to Yellowstone this year and share vicariously in the thrills! Have a great new year!
